Waiheke Island needs more than 1000 additional staff over summer (and there are many roles that go through winter too). Covid may have temporarily wiped out your plans for an international gap year experience, but there are plenty of fun jobs available in this stunning, sub-tropical piece of Aotearoa.

You’ll be living and working with a bunch of like-minded people, and spending your time off making the most of all the island has to offer (we’re talking 40km of beaches, 30 boutique wineries, plus mountain biking, fishing and a whole heap of water sports).
Book your accommodation first so you know when you’ll be arriving on the island, there are backpackers, motel and budget apartments on offer, and once you arrive on the island check out shared houses and longer-term accommodation. Some employers also have accommodation options available.

Once you have arranged your employment with a Waiheke Island Tourism Inc (WITI) member and lined up your accommodation, email WITI and go in the draw to win one prize pack valued at $2,000! One lucky winner will take home 20 x $100 vouchers to spend at twenty of Waiheke’s iconic restaurants and vineyards.
The prize: One person will win 20 x $100 gift certificates redeemable for food from twenty of Waiheke’s iconic restaurants and vineyards. Valued at $2,000.00.
Terms and Conditions: The competition is open to those who relocate to Waiheke, and get a signed employment contract from a member of Waiheke Island Tourism Inc., commencing between September 20 2021 and December 20 2021. The competition will be drawn February 8, 2022. You must be living and employed on Waiheke at the time of the draw in order to redeem your prize.
Prize is non-transferrable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Gift vouchers expire on 30 April 2022. Bookings to redeem gift vouchers are recommended.
To enter: Send an email stating your workplace name, and name and cell of your employer, and proof of relocation e.g. accommodation agreement or letter from employer, to waiheketourism@gmail.com, before 5pm on January 20, 2022.
